AIS Global News

AIS Global launches its new website at a time of global uncertainty. COVID-19 has had a significant impact on many key industries that contribute to economic and social growth across the world. Now, more than ever, Governments and businesses are looking to ‘futureskill’ these industries. The aim is to preserve the capacity of the workforce and training system and ensure the system is well positioned for recovery.

The role of real-time industry intelligence during the current pandemic has never been more important. Most simply, industry intelligence is the collection and distribution of data about an industry or sector, using different methods. These methods can vary in sophistication, depending on the availability and rigour of existing data, and on the circumstances at a point in time. At its most fundamental, the use of industry intelligence is about ensuring that decision-making is evidence based – be that short, medium or long term. Australia has well-developed and sophisticated industry intelligence models that can inform evidence-based decision making.

AIS Global is contributing to the development of industry intelligence models through our current work in Vietnam. This includes working with key stakeholders through a Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) funded program to set up systems and processes to collect and analyse information to inform the development of a skilled logistics workforce. This work is being supported by the development and roll out of a stakeholder engagement strategy and key communication activities. With current travel restrictions, our team has demonstrated agility and innovation in continuing to deliver capacity-building activities to support our international clients.

Despite the current challenges, 2020 is shaping up to be a busy year for the AIS Global team both domestically and internationally. We look forward to working with our current clients, and forging new relationships as we continue to expand our portfolio of services.
