Industry intelligence training

AIS Global delivered nine bilingual webinars from 8 to 24 September to over 20 Vietnamese participants from industry and VET including key members of the Logistics Industry Reference Council. The training focused on understanding the components of an industry intelligence model, teaching data collection and analysis skills, developing technical writing skills and showcasing the ways we disseminate industry intelligence data here in Australia.

By the end of the three weeks, the learners understood the purpose, process and application of collecting, analysing and reporting, they could identify and understand the role of all stakeholders in an effective industry intelligence system. They also developed skills in data analysis, technical writing and data presentation.

AIS Global General Manager, Leanne Mundy, presented the concept of Thought Leadership and said, “industry intelligence can establish leaders as a source of truth to inspire innovation and influence decision making”.

Several AIS ‘guest speakers’ participated in the webinars. AIS industry Skills Specialist Paschal Somers presented on an example from Australia’s aviation sector where industry intelligence drove the development of a new technology and associated skills standard. AIS Data Analyst Kevin O’Leary discussed various aspects of Australia’s industry intelligence model and answered a range of participant questions about how a model might work in Vietnam.

Overwhelmingly, feedback from participants was that the training provided a strong platform for building an industry intelligence model and there was a strong appetite for further support to embed the learnings in Vietnam.

RTO Webinars – SA Government panel appointment

AIS is proud to develop Training Packages on behalf of 11 key industries and acknowledge that Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) are the front line of the VET system as providers and assessors of nationally recognised training and qualifications. Employers rely on RTOs to provide essential skills and knowledge to both new entrants and existing workers.

It is therefore important that RTOs receive quality Professional Development and AIS Global, the business arm of AIS, was successful in a tender for the South Australian Government to provide training opportunities for RTOs. Key areas of focus include: Learning theory, design, facilitation and evaluation; assessment theory and practice; mental health and resilience, online facilitation; change and project management.
